My role within this production of Zoo Story was the set designer as well as the properties designer. This show was the last show to perform in a series of One Acts held annually at Greensboro College. The set was designed to be quickly moved into place after the walls of the previous set had been removed. Properties for this show included items such as a switchblade, books, and other personal property items. This was the first set design that I had completed in a professional environment. I also served as the master carpenter for this production. Many of the set pieces and props required construction and/or repair. Other items, such as the lamppost, were built from repurposed objects bought from yard sales and other retailers.
