My roles for this production was master electrician as well as sound designer. As the master electrician, I oversaw the implementation of the light plots of all three shows that were performed in the night of One Acts. I also was responsible for assisting in training the three different lighting designers to record cues and implement the right lighting instruments as well as the basics of DMX addressing. I also served as the sound designer for this production. As the sound designer, I was responsible for recording live music performances and vocalists due to the scripts very specific needs for music. I also decided to use a more directionalizied approach to this design due to it being on a hotel balcony. Doing so, I decided to place speakers underneath the audience seats to muffle the sound to sound as if the music is wafting up from the pool area down below. During the tech week of this show, the computer as well as the M-Audio FireWire interface that we were using burnt up the day before the last dress run before opening. With this also brought along with it complete cue rewriting, rewiring speakers to the new PreSonus Audiobox, and tracking down new hardware to replace it.
