My role in this production was sound designer. As the sound designer, I was responsible for speaker placement, audio recording, cue writing, and audio editing. Throughout the process, I met with many different administrators, faculty, and students from Greensboro College to record their voices to use in the creation of the sound effects that Judy hears during the performance. I also used time period camera flashes as well as used programs such as Audacity to distort audio to sound as if it was coming from the 1970's intercom. Using an M-Audio FireWire interface, I was able to directionalize the audio to come from an intercom speaker that was mounted on the wall.
