My role within this production of On Solid Ground was the sound designer. My job included using the already installed sound system within the found space. It was also of upmost importance that all additional cabiling and monitors be hidden from audience members view all while providing a full 360 degree surround sound expeirence that provided audience members with a full range of sounds. This required speakers being mounted on top of the HVAC system and routing wires through exisiting conduit and architechtual structures. The show also did not have a sound board operator and required the ability for the assistant stage manager to easily activate and deactivate cues.
