My role within this production of Laughter on the 23rd Floor was the sound designer as well as the projection designer. I also served as the assistant technical director and managed the shop classes and work calls in the absence of the professors for a week. My job was to create and organize daily shop tasks and create tasks that need to be completed by other students during lab classes. I was also in charge of making sure that the tasks were completed in a correct, safe, and timely manner. The projections for this performance were to create a house board projection that provided history of Sid Caesars Show of Shows. The biggest challenge of this production was the very short time frame that was provided to load in and run tech for the show. My job also included renovating the existing sound system and installing new amps, monitors, and wiring.
